Dinner Party

Tonight Farron and I had our very first house guests. We invited my brother and sister-in-law over for supper. Farron pretty much put the whole thing together. He made chicken parmesan, pasta, and a ceasar salad! It was so yummy. And to top it all off he made a home made strawberry topping for our chocolate ice cream!!! Our guests arrived @ 6 with gifts. They brought a cute card and yummy cupcakes ( Chocolate explosion, peanut butter chocolate, vanilla, and coconut!!!!!). They had them at their wedding last summer and I swear I ate 6 they were so good. So when they brought them tonight I went crazy! They were so good. It was so nice having people over, and it was just nice to relax and chat. I felt normal for a change. It just felt so natural and I was so happy. I guess it is just starting to feel like maybe Calgary isn't so bad after all. It was really nice talking to my bro because he was able to displace some of the fears I was having about my new profession. He really put me at ease. And now I am hoping to go into his office for a day to see how everything actually runs on a typical day. I had one office contact me yesterday for a working interview! It is literally right outside my window. I was so excited when they called. However, since I do not have my actual Alberta practicing license I am not allowed to touch any patients. So I called the office and asked if we could post pone it until I got my license. Well she basically freaked out at me and said I could do it, they didn't mind at all, if I was comfortable with it than I could do it because they were okay with it. I was like no I can't do it, if I do and something happens I could never even get licensed. She still goes on about how nothing will happen, yada, yada, yada. To which I finally respond "Ethically I can not do it!" So finally she says ok, I'll call you back. Yeah I am totally not getting a call back, but it was nice to find out how unethical the office is before I even start. So now there goes my plan of working next door! Oh well....
